Overview of the most important functions
Real-time position check: you send a SMS or call the device by phone* and receive back an sms with the coordinates and/or an internet link for Google maps* or similar
Emergency Function: An automatic sms/voice connection* gets made to one or more preselected phone numbers if the user presses he SOS button* on the device.
Transmission oft he position is also possible via the internet: The device can send the position data as GRPS data* which allows for continous monitoring at very low cost.
Continous tracking: The data can get sent automatically in programmable intervals, e.g. ever 5 Minutes or every day*.
Movement Alarm: A SMS can be sent* if the device gets accelerated. The sensitivity can get selected from just moving to a crash situation.
Velocity Alarm: A SMS can be sent* if the device detects a velocity which exceeds a predefined value.
Geo Fencing: An area can get defined in the device. The device then will send an SMS if this area is left.
Audio Monitoring: Some devices have a microphone and can get used to monitor the sound around it by simply calling the device by phone. Some devices allow for two-way communication similar to any mobile phone.
Battery Back-up: The devices are equipped with a rechargeable battery* which allows for operation without external power source for up to several days. The charge condition gets monitored and an alarm SMS sent if the voltage drops too low.
Active Control Functions: The devices can operate a relay* – to switch on e.g. lamps or a horn or alternatively cut off the ignition to stop a vehicle just by sending an SMS.
Passive Control Function: The devices can transmit electrical measurements from external sensors*, e.g. the fuel tank level, the battery voltage or the temperature.
SD card: The movement data can get stored on an integrated SD card* for later evaluation.
World-wide operation: The device works in any mobile GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz network.
Wide operational power source: From 5 Volts to 38 Volts or with a mains adaptor. Useable on cars, boats, motorcycles, jet skis or...
Low operational cost: By using pre-paid SIM cards with a flat rate tariff
